Then the High Point Family Center is looking for you!

We are seeking volunteers to share their skills or provide assistance during our program activities or classes.

Classes:

  • Computer Basics
  • Knitting, Sewing, Scrap Booking, or other hands on crafts
  • Cooking – Nutritious Simple Meals & Healthy Meals on a Budget
  • Working with Families and Youth
  • Gardening

Community Activities:

  • Ceremonies and Celebration
  • Field Trips
  • Walking Group
  • Parent and Child Play Groups

Student Learning and Enrichment:

  • Tutoring and Homework Assistance
  • Reading Programs

Office Support:

  • Make reminder calls to clients
  • Data entry
  • Filing and organizing paperwork

The High Point Family Center is dedicated to supporting families and community. It provides a gathering place and information and resources for residents of High Point and surrounding West Seattle communities. We provide programs that promote strong families, literacy and self sufficiency. Our multilingual staff will help you connect to resources depending on your needs and interests such as employment, training, schools, health care, food bank, and utility assistance.

The High Point Family Center is located at 6558 35th Avenue SW (corner of Holly Street).

Our Drop-In Center hours are Tuesdays from 10am-2pm, Thursdays from 3-7pm and Saturdays from 11am-2pm.
