Today seems to have been a complicated day in the crypto market after the crypts took a step back and the main crypto exchanges, Coinbase and Binance, reported problems in their platforms.
Bitcoin once again flirts with the $12,000
Incidents in the crypto market
In yesterday’s Crypto Summary we reported how Bitcoin was once again flirting with the key level of $12K. However, once again the stud has been rejected.
The crypto currency was slapped and fell to today’s low of $11,299. It is currently valued at $11,356 according to the Crypto Trend tool, Crypto Online.
This was followed by similar drops in the crypto market, such as Ethereum, XRP, Chainlink and Polkadot.
As if this wasn’t enough, the situation became much more complicated at Ethereum as per-transaction fees reached a new high.
Just yesterday we talked about how the ETH miners made $500,000 in an hour; today that mark is broken after they made $800,000 an hour today, Glassnode reported.
In this sense, Binance reported early that they were aware of some difficulties in accessing Binance.com. Later, Changpeng Zhao, Binance’s CEO, reported that they were working on it.
Soon after, Zhao or CZ reported that there were still long lines for ETH and ERC withdrawals20. Therefore, he suggested his users to consider other networks.
Thus, CZ said it was a pretty busy day with high traffic levels, congestion on the Ethereum network, and more.
Likewise, Coinbase, the US crypto exchange, also reported experiencing incidents on its platform that prevented the sending of crypto currencies such as Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash and 22 other crypto currencies. However, soon after, the crypto exchange reported to have solved the problem.
